Dear Travel Partners,
Welcome to the October edition of our Asia World newsletter
We have just celebrated our annual ‘Asia World staff party’ at the ‘Sampran Riverside’ where 60 of our Bangkok staff were kindly hosted for team building events. The Sampran Riverside (formerly The Rose Garden) is famous for their 40 minute cultural show, featuring traditional performances and elephant shows. This cultural show has been one of Bangkok’s leading tourist attractions for the past 30 years. www.sampranriverside.com
Asia World recently provided ground services for the important ‘Thai Airways A380 Mega Fam Trip’, with 40 of the top UK and Irish agents participating. Thank you to the Anantara Riverside for hosting a wonderful party and for the team from Thai Airways London for hosting the group.
The recent ‘haze’ which has affected Singapore, Malaysia and Southern Thailand, is the result of the annual illegal forest burning in Indonesia. Last week this ‘haze’ affected Phuket quite severely, but we are happy to inform you that the situation is much improved this week, with almost no haze in sight.
Lastly, for those of you who are not aware, Asia World will be represented at the ‘World Travel Market’ (WTM) in London from 2nd till 5th November, by Olga Kovshanova, Ian Griffiths and myself. We will be located on the Thailand Stand at booth no.20 and if you would like to arrange an appointment to meet us, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
